PREPARATION - STAGING GENERAL TIPS
Tips for all spaces
• Careful cleaning of all areas to be photographed (carpets with vacuum cleaner, mop floors, dust removal, clean benches, clean windows etc) Check and replace all burnt lamps. Use lamps of the same temperature (warm or cool)
• Open all the shutters of all windows. Check that the window blinds are up and at the same height
• Remove all personal photos. Put all personal items, clothes, shoes in cupboards
• Place plants and flowers in vases
• Hide visible cables, multiplexers, telephone sets, routers, antennas and other electronic devices.
• Have fruits, plants, flowers available for extra styling
Kitchen
• Clean all benches thoroughly. Remove dust and signs of use such as finger prints. Remove all unnecessary devices and objects
• Let a beautiful device (eg coffee maker) stand out.
• Remove magnets, papers, photos, etc. from the refrigerator • Hide all containers, bins, etc.
• Remove detergents, sponges, household items from the sink and other places, and place them in non-visible areas. Remove plastic containers and items. Remove unnecessary food stuff such as spices, oil bottles etc.
Dinning room
• Wipe and polish table's surface
• Use decoratives
• Place natural flowers or plants
• Straighten and place all chairs evenly
• Remove child seats
Living room
• Remove possible stacks of magazines, papers, etc.
• Check all lamps, replacement of burnt lamps
• Clean the interior of the fireplace
• Clean all surfaces, wooden tables etc from dust, finger prints etc
• Remove unnecessary decorations from the space amd clutter
• Arrangement of pillows, sofa's throws, covers
• Remove any toys
Bedrooms
• Careful bedding
• Remove cables, chargers, unnecessary devices
• Clean and tidy the whole space Removal of all personal item etc.
• Use stylish decorations, plants, flowers Bathroom
• Carefully clean the entire area. Remove spots, dust and finger prints. Descale bath surfaces, shower, glass surfaces, mirrors
• Removal of all personal items, cosmetics, soaps, detergents, etc
• Close the toilet lid Remove dirty towels - leave out only unused towels (preferably white towels without patterns)
• Remove floor mats
Outdoors - terraces - courtyards
• Close the garage door
• Remove cars and other vehicles from the front of the house if possible
• Cleaning of all outdoor areas, take care of the garden. Removal of fallen leaves and trash
• Remove empty pots Removal of watering hoses, tools, unnecessary objects
• Remove any toys, balls, etc.
• Clean outdoor lounge areas, chairs, pillows
• Swimming pool cleaning, early pool filling
• Removal of swimming pool tools
• Check both outdoor and pool lighting, replacement of burnt lamps Pets
• Place food and water in a cupboard
• Put animal's bed/toys in a closet
• Hair removal
• Limit your pet in a place not appearing in the camera
• Cleaning from any waste
